Occupational Safety & Health Intern (Summer 2023)

Job Description

Danfoss is looking for an Occupational Safety & Health Intern for Summer 2023 at our Milwaukee, Wisconsin site to support our facility on environmental, health and safety projects and improvement initiatives.  The Occupational Safety & Health intern will be responsible for assisting the health and safety committee in meeting both facility and company-wide objectives.  

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct health and safety inspections and recommend improvements to reduce potential hazards
• Audit existing health and safety programs to verify compliance and effectiveness
• Develop training programs on key health and safety topics and deliver training to employees
• Conduct ergonomic assessments in the office and on the production floor and implement improvements
• Actively participate in monthly health and safety committee meetings
• Implement all required activities and training on the Danfoss health and safety calendar
• Update safety procedures, work instructions and job safety analyses (JSA)

Background & Skills

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health (Preferred), or Engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
